The BOW – Calgary, Alberta

Partner/Client: Encana

DESCRIPTION

  • Two million sf., 58 story office tower
  • 22,000 sf of retail space
  • 1360 underground parking spaces
  • Significant mixed use development in downtown Calgary
  • Stretches across two city blocks

OUR ROLE

Matthews Southwest (one of Tribal’s largest shareholders), assembled the land, managed the design, development and construction of the building on behalf of a partnership between owner/space user Encana and MSW.  The project was sole to H&R REIT in 2007.

Bell Mobility Corporate Campus –  Mississauga, Ontario

Partner/Client: Bell Canada

DESCRIPTION

  • A phased 780,000 sf office campus for Bell Mobility. Bell decided to consolidate operations into one strategic campus.
  • Phase 1 was a 560,000 sf building at a cost of $125M.  Phase 2 was an additional 220,000 sf building at a cost of $51M.

OUR ROLE

Matthews Southwest (one of Tribal’s largest shareholders), was involved in all stages of development, feasibility study, land acquisition, financing design development, project and construction management, contract administration and the final sale to H&R REIT.

 CN – Calgary Logistics Park – Calgary, Alberta

Partner/Client: CN

DESCRIPTION

  • 680 acre, $200M logistics park currently in development phase.
  • Capacity to accommodate 2 million sf of warehouse space.
  • Largest inland gateway and premier intermodal facility in Western Canada

OUR ROLE

Tribal has entered into a partnership with CN to develop the Calgary Logistics Park.
Phase I of this $200M project is almost complete with construction of Whirlpool Canada’s 500,000 sf distribution facility almost completed.

 FedEx – Toronto, Ontario

Partner/Client: FedEx

DESCRIPTION

  • An 80,000 sf design build, 25 year lease deal with FedEx Express Canada on 5 acres of land in Toronto Portlands.

OUR ROLE

Tribal purchased a 16.5 acre lot in Toronto Port Lands, then negotiated an 80,000 sf design build, 25 year lease with FedEx.


 The Omni- Dallas Texas

Partner/Client: City of Dallas

DESCRIPTION

  • 4-Star, full service Omni Convention Center Hotel
  • 1001 rooms and 80,000 sf of flexible convention space
  • The LEED Gold project includes utilization of recycled materials, irrigation supplied by recycled water, water-saving fixtures, guest room energy management systems and more.

OUR ROLE

MSW (one of Tribal’s largest shareholders) was selected by the City of Dallas as the project developer. The $346 million project was completed under budget and 2 months ahead of schedule. MSW continues its relationship with the Hotel by serving as the Asset Manager for the City of Dallas.

Acklands-Grainger Distribution Centre – Caledon, Ontario

Partner/Client: Acklands-Grainger

DESCRIPTION

  • A 535,000 sf Distribution Centre on 32 acres, to serve the GTA and surrounding area.
  • This is the largest real estate investment that Acklands-Grainger has made in Canada in it’s 120 year history.

OUR ROLE

Tribal purchased 32 acres on behalf of Acklands-Grainger and was the Development Manager for their 535,000 sf building.
